Silpi Jitendra Nath Paul the famous artist has started his journey as a Mritshilpi long days ago. He has found his studio
“Rup-Archana” at 1945.
Our creation has started to produce the only clay models or idols at very first, but side by side we also produce the half bast and full bast model of stone, bronze, fibre glass and shola (tharmocol).
Though we are mostly producing Durga, Kali, Jagadharti, Lakshmi, Saraswati, Kartikeya, Viswakarma, Shiva etc. we also do sculpturing of other religious and non-religious models such as freedom fighters, famous personality, renowned writers etc.
Year after year we are decorating many famous Sarbojanin Durgotsab Committees pandels like the most famous Baghbazar Sarbajanin (we are making this Durgamurti for 40 years), 23 Palli (Astadhatu), Sangashree, Behala Sahajatri, Ajeya Sanhati, Selimpur Palli, Hatibagan Sarbajanin, 41 Palli etc. Our works not stoped here, we have also send Durgamurtis and models in abroad like Bangaladesh Durgapuja Committee (New York), Sanskriti Hindu Cultural Society (Buffelo), Bengali Cultural & Social Club (London), Torrento Bengalee Association (California), Mahey Island (Sessels).
We always maintain the high quality of perfection in our work, The variation of works and innovative creativity have won the heart of people in India and abroad. We have won many awards on our Durgamurti Like Asian Paints Award on Best Image of Durgamurti on 1986, 1988, 1998, 1999, 2002, 2003, and 2006 and Snowcem Anandabazar Award on 1998 and 2001.
Though the heart of our creation, Shri Jitendra Nath Paul had departed us few years back but his work and this tradition of business are being continued by his able sons and grandsons to held the prestige of the establishment very high by maintaining the high quality of works in the name of ‘Jitendra Nath Paul & sons’ having key members.
